Climate Change

Climate Change refers to significant alterations in global temperatures and weather patterns over time. While climate change is a natural phenomenon, human activities—particularly the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes—have accelerated the rate of change, leading to an increase in greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) in the atmosphere. These changes result in a range of effects, including rising sea levels, more frequent and severe weather events (like hurricanes and droughts), shifts in wildlife populations and habitats, and changes to agricultural productivity. Climate change poses significant risks to the environment, human health, and economies worldwide, prompting global efforts to mitigate its impacts through initiatives like the Paris Agreement.
